The Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) has opened registration for the 2026 Community Pre-University Music Course, a university outreach initiative aimed at those who wish to prepare for the specific music test of the institution’s entrance exam. The course is free and open to the community.
The project aims to offer classes that cover the content required in UFPR’s selection process, helping applicants better understand the test requirements and develop the musical skills needed for the exam.
The prep course will be taught by students from UFPR’s Music program, from both the bachelor’s and the teaching degree programs, as well as external musicians linked to the course. The initiative also serves as a space for pedagogical practice for the university students involved.
How the course will work
The course will last approximately eight months, with a start date scheduled for March 9.
Classes will be held twice a week:
- Monday: 18:30 to 20:30
- Wednesday: 18:30 to 20:30
The sessions will take place at the UFPR DeArtes campus, located at Rua Coronel Dulcídio, 638, in Curitiba.
Who can participate
There is no selection process based on technical level or musical experience. According to the organizers, the information filled out in the registration form will be used solely to understand the participants’ profiles and adapt the class content.
The initiative seeks to expand access to musical training and higher education in the field, especially for people who have not had the opportunity for specific preparation for the music test.
